This paper mainly studies the decolorization of corncob hydrolysates by decolorization resin and compares the results with activated carbon. The exchange capacity of decolorization resin is up to 30 times of the resin's volume. The exchange capacity decreases with the regeneration frequency,after 30 times reuses,it remains 90% of the original. The exchange capacity is related to the total solids content,but not associated with the concentration. High temperature regeneration and low temperature exchanging is good for the resin,and the better exchanging temperature is lower than 50℃. The loss of reducing sugar is below 0. 1%,and it has little effect on acidity and conductivity of the hydrolysis liquid. These indicators are very close to the ones using activated carbon decolorizing solution at the same transmittance. Treated with D301resin,the indicators of the ion exchange solution of decolorization resin are nearly as that of activated carbon. Decolorization resin has the advantages of large exchange capacity,low frequency of regeneration, environment friendly,and longer working hours. Its application has good economic and social benefits.
